Sling That Baby
Baby slings and baby wraps have been in use for hundreds of years, but are receiving new attention thanks to celebrity parents like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Jolie and Pitt have been spotted carrying their newborn twins in baby slings while shopping and dining out. The babies look very happy and calm while their parents look stylish and unique.
What is it about these baby pouches that have made them so popular lately?
Two of the main reasons for recent increases in sling sales are an increase in mobility for the parents and a decrease in crying and general fussing for the infants. With the baby in the sling, parents have both arms free to do chores around the home, get through the grocery store quickly, and even have a nice dinner out - all while cradling their baby in a loving and healthy manner. The babies love being in their wraps because they feel safe and secure right next to their parent’s body and have a nice high vantage point to look around and get maximum visual and audio stimulation. Which would you prefer - being strapped into a rolling cage low to the ground or being right next to your mother’s heart in a beautiful sling made out of soft, luxurious organic fibers?
The slings and wraps are also light and highly versatile - they can go almost anywhere including tight aisles in clothing stores, crowded outdoor marketplaces, and even up and down stairs with no problem. Imagine getting in and out of your SUV without the hassle of unloading the stroller from the back, putting it together, loading up your child, strapping them in, and then closing up the three doors you had to open to get all that done. With a baby sling, you just slip the sling over your shoulder, gently cradle your child inside the soft fabric, get your handbag and go.
Another reason for the huge popularity of baby wraps today is their unrivaled versatility. You can carry your child facing you up near your chest, down on your hip, facing away from you on your belly like a kangaroo, on your back like a backpack, up high on your shoulder, or even in a nursing position. Think about how convenient it would be if you could nurse your child while shopping with both arms free in your local market? Your baby is warm, secure, and eating lunch - all with 100% privacy due to the extra fabric included in his wrap just for this purpose.
If you have not experienced the freedom, comfort, and convenience of a baby wrap you need to order one immediately and put it to use right away. You’ll find yourself lugging around a lot less equipment, your back won’t hurt at the end of the day from stooping and lifting repeatedly, your baby will sleep and eat more while crying less, and you will look fantastic the entire time while wearing your new designer sling.

Getting the aesthetics of atrocity right by committee has taken five years with nothing to show for it. Estimated costs of completing the 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero is closing in on a billion dollars. It has been our contention from the beginning that the inspiration was always right there in front of the committee’s collective faces, staring back in stark, abject horror at them and anyone who looked back at it: the still standing remnant of shattered dreams and lives in a building once known as the World Trade Center. They should have kept it and etched the names of the those murdered on that day in the concrete walls surrounding the twin foundations. They almost had it right when they marked the site at night with twin searchlights reaching heavenward. So subtle, so profound. Now, it seems they just want to make the horror and the implications of what it all means for our future to go away by corralling the chaos and subjugating it to a design that buries it below a park where you can safely go to feed the pigeons. We keep hearing this voice somewhere on the committee: “Yeah, it was a horrible thing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it pretty. My God, the last thing we need to do is to scare people away.”
Too bad for us. We’re reminded of Berlin’s $35 million dollar “Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.” Although we truly believe “less is more” when it comes to art and architecture, leave it to the Germans to take that idea which rose from their culture to construct a memorial bereft of hope and spirit. It redefines “stark.” Maybe that was the point but the remaining concentration camps say more than that memorial ever will. Still, it didn’t keep college students from playing hide-and-seek between the dark, concrete blocks. If they had been little kids, hopefully a parent would have told them to stop and explained why. But these were America’s educated elite backpacking across Europe. The same ones, we fear, who will be someday happily feeding the pigeons in the new park over Ground Zero.

Hackers Given Access to IRS Computers?
The Treasury Department inspector general has reported a
distinct weakness in the security surrounding the IRS computer
systems. Unlike the problems found with other security
systems, this one is human.
The Treasury Department inspector general conducted a study to
see if IRS employees could be manipulated into providing
information that would compromise computer security. Treasury
Department inspectors called IRS agents and managers posing as
computer technicians. The inspectors told the employees that
they were trying to fix problems with the computer network
platform. They then asked the employess to provide the login
and passwords for their administrative accounts. More than
one-third of the agents provided the information and even
allowed the inspectors to change the passwords.
The IRS has rules in place that prohibit employees from
divulging passwords. Despite these rules, employees gave
several reasons for providing the information. Some said they
were not suspicious of foul play while others wanted to be
helpful to the technicians. Some employees were suspicious,
but were given permission to provide the information by the
managers in their departments.
The taxpayer database maintained by the IRS contains
incredibly valuable information. The hacks of Choicepoint and
LexisNexus pail in comparison to a hack of the IRS database.
Imagine a hacker getting access to the tax identification
numbers of every person and business in the United States.
Making matters worse, the database also contains the name and
number of every account kicking out interest and dividends for
each taxpayer including bank accounts and investment accounts.
The exposure of such information would be a windfall for
identity theft scams.
The IRS has responded to the study by sending an email to all
employees alerting them of the rules regarding divulging
information. You have to wonder how long the employees will
keep it in mind.

Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars? Normally, throwing yourself at Johnny Depp or taking twenty photos of yourself and J.Lo would get you thrown in jail for harassment, but at Madame Tussauds this is not only tolerated, it’s encouraged.
Madame Tussauds is a famous wax figurine museum, which originated in London. Marie Tussaud (1761-1850), a French born woman who learned the art of wax modeling from her mother’s employer, honed her craft over many years and far surpassed her teacher in skill and expertise. By far her most gruesome endeavor was the time she spent molding the heads of some of the guillotine’s victims during the French Revolution.
Moving from France to England, in 1834 Marie Tussaud transformed a study in her London home into what was later dubbed the “chamber of horrors”, where she showcased full-sized wax models replicating the carnage of the French Revolution. After her death, Tussaud’s Grandson moved the collection to Marylebone Road, London where Madame Tussauds remains to this present day.
The immense popularity of Madame Tussauds has seen it grow from its London locality to a worldwide phenomenon. Today, Madame Tussauds is open in six locations across the globe including three here in America - it’s a must see tourist attraction.

Technology Explained
Multiple HDMI Connections
HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface and allows you to get the very best out of High Definition pictures and sound. Choosing three HDMI connections means that you can connect to SKY HD, and HDMI DVD player and a games console simultaneously. With this in mind you may choose to purchase an HDMI CEC. This is a Consumer Electronic Control that allows you to control all of your components through one TV remote control. It is preferable, when using this system to use same brand product, however, mixed brand products can still be controlled by a single remote on a basic level.
100HZ Technology.
100Hz is the perfect choice when viewing sports of fast action movies. When you consider that your average television displays at only 50Hz it’s easy to see why the picture can judder, especially when it is slowed down. With 100Hz and extra frame is added which is an average of the frame either side of it, these frames are then added back to the real time footages creating a clear, judder and blur free motion, essential when you are looking for perfection in fast moving TV.
Other Technology
With today’s Techno terms it can be very easy to become totally confused as to what else to buy when you are considering upgrading to a TV, Home Cinema system and DVD. Let’s look at a few examples, why for instance would you want to by a Component lead? Well, this lead will produce a better analogue picture from your DVD player than using a standard lead. Choosing a TV with DV input means you can add a digital devise such as a video camera and then record from that devise straight onto a DVD. S-video is a high quality analogue video connection cable and a scart lead is an Analogue connector that transfers pictures and sound to your TV.
Some other terms
Aspect ratio is the ratio of image width to image height. Auto tuning will automatically tune in aerial received channels. A digital Comb Filter will separate combined colour and black and white picture information resulting in a much sharper picture. Progressive scan is where all horizontal lines of the frame are shown in one go, this method delivers a superior picture from a DVD or video player. Especially useful for a household of different televisual tastes is the Picture in Picture system which allows programmes from different inputs to be viewed simultaneously, one on the full screen and one in a smaller window, so now you can watch the match and your favourite soap at the same time!
A few final terms.
Dolby digital 5.1 allows you to hear all five channels of sound via a home cinema system for a true surround sound effect. Fastext is an updated version of teletext that uses coloured keys on a remote as short cuts to the pages. Freeview is a free digital service of 41 channels that you can view via an integrated digital television or a separate set top box. And Finally HDTV is High Definition television broadcasting that provides exceptional picture quality and true surround sound.
We hope that this has helped you find your way around some of today’s technology. Now all you have to do is choose your system and sit back and enjoy the superior viewing now available to you at 1staudiovisuals very special prices. Enjoy!

The Magician and The High Priestess
The Magician
The Magician is represented by a young man in front of a work table.
This card represents the life active ingredient, its number I (one) is male, it is the Yang element.
Basic Significance
If this card comes in the right position, it means the beginning of the things, the will of a person, a man’s profession or a woman new affective relation.
When this card comes in the reversed position it means professional problems, lack of self-confidence, apathy…
Remember the basic significance of the tarot cards will be interpreted according to the position of the cards during the consultation.
For example, our consulting person is a man who wants to learn more about his professional career.
We will pull four cards:
On the left we put The Justice card, on the right is The Moon, at the top is The Magician and at the bottom is The Wheel Of Fortune.
The Justice card on the left tells us that this man is able to succeed in his career (The Justice means stability and confidence); The Moon card on the right means that he should not have a total confidence in his colleagues (the Moon represents hypocrisy and the lies); The Magician represents the profession of our consulting person and the Wheel Of Fortune means that this man will succeed in his career.
The synthesis of these four cards is 10 which is the number of the Wheel Of Fortune.
This card means that our consulting person will have a great professional career but only if he takes care of his colleagues and their hypocrisy.
The High Priestess
This is called The High Priestess because the woman who is drawn wears a pontifical tiara. She also represents Isis, an Egyptian divinity, Osiris wife.
The High Priestess represents wisdom, quality development by the sobriety of her costume.
It is a very positive card of the Tarot as well as the Yin element.
Basic significance:
The card in the right position symbolizes nature, pregnancy, knowledge, mother, perspicacity, wisdom…
The High Priestess in the reversed position symbolizes an immoderate and painful love, superficiality
This card also represents the hidden face of a man’s life.
Let’s take in example a woman wishing to know if her couple is solid.
We will pull four cards: on the left, The Lovers, on the right The High Priestess, at the top The Moon, below is The Tower.
The interpretation of these arcana would be as follows: this man has some troubles in his life and loves his wife (The Lovers) BUT he has a mistress (The High Priestess); the consulting one seems to be lied to herself because The Moon means that she knows that her husband is not faithful but refuses to admit it and The Tower represents the separation or the divorce.
In synthesis; which is the addition of the numbers of the four cards = 42; 4+2 = 6, The Lovers - once again - means that the consulting one will make the good choice in her life; probably divorce.
